POSITION
Clipper Stad Amsterdam is looking for a Maritime Engineer to join our team, starting in April 2025. The technical department of the Clipper is run by a team of three technicians: the Chief Engineer, a 2nd and 3rd Engineer. Together they maintain all technical systems on board, from the main engine or generator to the air conditioning or toilet system.
TASKS
• Work on maximum operational readiness of all installations on board
• Execute daily routines from the maintenance program and engine room log
• Resolve technical failures
• Respond to alarms signals
• Boundary cooling team member and sloop farer in emergency response team
• Execute maneuvering order on bridge from the officer on watch, pilot or captain and report operational limits of the installations
PROFILE
• Engineering certificate and valid work experience in the technical field
• A valid Seaman’s book (incl covid vaccinations)
• A valid Medical Certificate for seaman worldwide
• STCW Basic Safety, STCW Security Awareness; STCW Crowd Management
• Proficient in the English language written and spoken
