TRAVEL THE WORLD
In August 2023, Clipper Stad Amsterdam departed on a two-year voyage around the world. During the World Tour, we visited iconic cities and remarkable places such as Tokyo, Shanghai, Sydney, Mumbai, and the Maldives. Adventurous sailors crossed the Atlantic Ocean with us from Cape Town, via remote St. Helena, to St. Maarten — one of the longest legs of the journey. Baltimore, New York, Boston, Brest, and London are still to come before the Clipper returns to her home port in August 2025.
One of the main goals of this journey is to promote equal opportunities for young people. We do this by offering special legs of the voyage exclusively for youth. Participants take part in watch duties and work together in teams, developing essential skills that support a strong start in the job market. Companies are invited to sponsor one or more of these youth voyages.
WORLD TOUR
On August 18, 2023, we bid farewell to the Clipper for two years during an official send-off ceremony at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam.
