After Moritz and his crew brought the ship back to Europe, I embarked for our annual program in the Mediterranean. We started with Randstad France at Port Vendrès with quite some wind and ended in Nice in much more calm weather.
The Cote d' Azur is much more enjoyable of course with less wind and a blue sky. In well-known places like St.Tropez, Antibes and Ile St.Honorat with super yachts as our neighbours, our Clipper is admired a lot. Even though she often isn’t the largest ship around and despite the fact that we do not have a helicopter landing deck, we will still attract so much attention. Many people are always very interested in our tallship.
FOCACCIA IN CAMOGLI
The Italian flag is hoisted at starboard in the meantime. And it is so wonderful to sail some every day. It is a difference of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. At Camogli we had a short stop to cool off before having to endure the heat in the port of Genoa. By the way, should anyone ever visit Camogli don’t forget to order focaccia there in the port. It is said to be the best focaccia of Italy and I believe it immediately. It is the best focaccia I have ever eaten. For a fair judgment, I may have to eat focaccia somewhere else though.
