On the way to…

“East meets West”

Welcome aboard the vibrant city of Hong Kong! As you set foot on the deck of our magnificent Clipper, the anticipation of a remarkable adventure fills the air. Take in the bustling waterfront and the sight of the sailing Clipper against the backdrop of skyscrapers – it’s the beginning of an unforgettable journey.

Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong is where the Clipper Stad Amsterdam is moored. This iconic natural harbor is situated between Hongkong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. The panoramic view of the harbor is breathtaking, especially in the evening when the buildings are illuminated during the spectacular light and sound show, the “Symphony of Lights.”

Hongkong, once a British colony from 1842 to 1997, is a city where Eastern and Western influences remarkably come together and blend. This is evident not only in the diversity of its residents but also in the arts, music, film, and gastronomy. In addition to international cuisines and local dishes such as dim sum and noodles, street food markets are particularly popular.

In terms of nature, this bustling metropolis also has something to offer, as Hongkong features beautiful parks, hiking trails, and islands like Lantau Island.

By the time the crew welcomes you on board, you will undoubtedly have already admired and experienced all the beauty that Hongkong has to offer.

Hongkong

Underwater world beauty and pristine nature in a tropical paradise

It is a city with a mix of cultures and serves as a major hub for travelers looking to explore the surrounding islands and national parks. The vast rainforests, crystal-clear waters, stunning coral reefs, rich biodiversity, and unique animal species of West Papua make this area a fantastic travel destination for nature and culture enthusiasts, as well as for divers and snorkelers.

Sailing & Adventure

During the sailing voyage on the South Chinese Sea, taking you all the way to Sorong, you’ll learn as much as possible about sailing on a square-rigged ship. Our skilled and attentive crew ensures your comfort and the Captain provides daily briefings on the areas you sail through.

Besides sailing, there are plenty of other activities! We also recommend you to assist the crew, for instance, in maintenance, to truly experience life on board a sailing ship.
