Lifeboats

The mentioned abandon ship drill ended for our guests in one of our launches. The boat does stay on deck, because letting our guests spend their holiday in a sloop instead of the clipper, is not the best for the word of mouth publicity. Also the testing of lowering the lifeboat with a burden on board, can be done more safely with the designated water sacks.

Yet, our guest do get around quite often in these lifeboats, because we also use them to tender the shore when the ship is at anchor. Since we anchor a lot in the Caribbean, our guests are quite often in one of our two lifeboats. They can very easily get in from one of the lowered platforms.
In this fashion our guest got into the tender boats yesterday and were broad to the main land. Under guidance of our regular tour guide they explored the island Dominica. And tendering at Dominica is definitely not something to skip.
