Over land and sea

We could just as well take the last captains log, change the destination and post it. Apart from the fact that today we sail from St. Kitts to Guadeloupe, the sailing is just as excellent as the last report. The wind has strengthened over the last day to a topgallant breeze, making it a sportive day on board.
We couldn’t call it ‘island hopping’ if we didn’t give our guest the opportunity to actually visit them. Yesterday our guest could choose between a jeep safari across the island or a ride on the old train, which used to transport the sugar cane from the plantations in colonial times.
Both excursions our a great way to explore the island and therefore perfect for a day trip.
In the afternoon all had returned on board and the anchor could be heaved to be dropped again an hour later at Ballast Bay. This location is more beautiful than the previous, near the small town of Basse Terre and also offers the opportunity to go snorkelling between the coral and the colourful fishes. A typical Caribbean sunset is the finishing touch to this perfect day.
