14 knots!

Aeolus has been friendly for us last night and this morning. The necessary speed of ten knots we could easily make. We almost managed to reach an extra waypoint if the wind had not decreased just before. No bonus point for us…
 
The race has finished. Although the official outcome is not definite yet, we count on an  a-class first position! Overall winner is not really to expect. No illusions to be made.
As if it was planned this way, after the finish the wind totally disappeared leaving the sails hanging slack. Our trainees harbor stowed all stay sails on the yards.
 
Tomorrow around eight we expect to arrive in IJmuiden. This is the end of the adventure our trainees participated in, a beautiful week on the Clipper full of unforgettable moment!
