Sailingweekend

How wonderful. We are sailing close hauled towards the Atlantic Ocean for 17 hours already. The typical Azores high-pressure area brings a steady northerly breeze. This is good if you are southbound, but we are coming from the Mediterranean and are heading for Kristiansand. That means we have to tack up and that is a big effort on a square rigged ship. It was our luck that we could use north-northeasterly wind that was slowly backing. Ideal circumstances to sail from Lisbon to Leixoes. After our daytrip in Leixoes we will sail to the North Sea.
