Sea-landscape

A high pressure area north of the Azores and a depression On the Iberia peninsula gives us good winds to sail towards Gibraltar. Cabo Sao Vincente is 40 miles north of us and the narrow passage to the Mediterranean ahead of us.

It is very good sailing weather. We can write 2 digits in the logbook. The sea is building up but since the wind is no longer coming from our wake, but from the backstays the rolling is becoming less. This rolling can be true an energy consumer. Moving over the ship costs a lot of energy and even sleeping feels like a sport.

From the depression a nice coldfront overtook us today. These skies you can call the landscapes of the sea. How they change due to the weather systems you can see on the pictures.
