Close-hauled
Yes, our spare parts arrived. After a administrative struggle with customs we finally got it on board about 24 hours after our scheduled departure. Our next stop will be Gibraltar on June 13th. With the loss of one day we calculated our estimated speed at 7.8 knots.
A challenge, but an achievable one. With a wind force 7 at the moment we are sailing close-hauled straight to Gibraltar. From the Azores we will alter our tack from starboard to portside. With a bit of assistance of our main engine to guide us through a high pressure area, we will have to be able to make it there in time..
