Spare parts
Leaving Cape town we were hoping to sail to Europe in one track. With the unfavorable winds on the South Atlantic we were forced to find a bunkering spot on our way. On a 7 week journey the generators already uses up enough fuel to leave nothing for the main engine. With better winds and less time pressure we would have come pretty far…
Despite the tanks being filled up by noon time, we are still alongside. We are waiting for a spare part for the main engine that was supposed to arrive this morning….
A new day, new chances. Tomorrow morning the spare part will arrive on the airport, we will have to be patient for a bit. If again our waiting is not rewarded, we will cast off the mooring lines and hope we won’t need the spare part on this track.
