Yeah! I am back on the Clipper again! About a year ago I embarked on the Clipper Stad Amsterdam for the first time so about a year ago I feel in love with the ship and her crew. I will never forget that we reached land after 2,5 weeks and I only wanted to do it again, that much I enjoyed the ocean voyage. This time I have the honor to join on the Beagle trip the Stad Amsterdam is sailing. As a ship’s doctor I had to start right away. When leaving Sydney, a lot of the guests were seasick, and I was one of them. I was glad that, when everybody received their medication, I could go to my bunk. The next day, as always, things were much better.

A few days later we arrived in Melbourne. Like Hollywood stars we were escorted by a small Armada. In Melbourne we had a big crew change. A lot of nice people were relieved by other nice people. Also “my captain” Andi came back. He has a special place in my heart.

After 3 days in Melbourne we sailed to Adelaide, and from Adelaide to Perth. The trip to Perth is a bit longer and I enjoy it to be on the sea. The always changing waves and the life in the water. Today is Sailors Sunday what gives us some rest. Fresh Tuna, Sugarloof and Ruurd’s Buttercake make my stay on the Clipper Stad Amsterdam a true treat.
