Anchored

We sailed lovely through a moonlit night. We passed the fairway between Cangeroo Island and the Australian mainland making 12 knots and we dropped anchor at sunrise in the Aldingabay. Because of this great easterly wind the Clipper arrived early, as usual.

Tomorrow we will sail the remaining 30 miles to Adelaide. Today we had time to desalinate the vessel and to prepare for tomorrow’s receptions. The survey has been completed as well, including the ground tackle. After a steady 8-9 Bfd and peaks up to 10 Bfd, we are convinced that the chain is sturdy enough. At 6 in the morning we will heave up anchor in order to take berth in Adelaide’s outer harbor around lunch time.
