Internot
A low pressure area north of us gives the Passat a little bit more power. The stun sails, which were hoisted up last night, had to be hoisted down. Wind force 5-6 is a little bit too much for stun sails. These sails are not really necessary, the Clipper will sail 12 Knots without them. I wish we have these conditions until Christmas…
All the Internet systems are off the air. The Pacific Ocean is so quit, no investor wants to put a satellite above this part of the planet. Despite the fact that the Internet-follower of the journey misses a lot, it has something nice. No more twitter, less stress behind the laptops and suddenly the awareness that we are all on our own on the biggest pool of water on our planet.
After using the word ‘virtuality’ in one of my blogs, I was almost named Queen Beatrix. But as the mayor of a Clipper, I got sometimes the feeling that I am born 150 years too late.
So from yesterday, it is no longer allowed to use the GPS. Because knowing where you are in a radius of 6 meters is nowadays done in a second.
