Biting animals
It was quiet on board today. The crew of the VPRO and their companions left the ship early this morning, with the help of local taxi ships. This in order to make the necessary recordings in the limited time that they have. Also some crew members left the ship to spent their day off ashore. The most crewmembers stay on board because washing, cooking, cleaning and maintaining is still people work which must go on.
A sea lion had a great night. Somebody had turned some lightning to the surface of the water, light attracts usually fishes. The sea lion seemed to know this because he laid down next to the ship and only have to wait when the fishes came into his reach. Our presence did not bother him at all, the animals here are not scared at all. Ask one of our crewmembers, which had a ripped pants because of a biting iguana.
