Lisbon to Rouen

Three days of a running wind was enough to bring the Stad Amsterdam close to her port of destination. The crew enjoyed this way of propulsion visibly because it appeared to be a long time ago that there could be spoken of decent sailing.
This unexpected prosperity made it possible to be anchored along the northern French coast for over a day. This day could be used efficiently. Our rubber boat and both sloops could be lowered and with that checked, maintained and be used for making the outside of the ship’s hull fit to be seen.
In two days the Clipper will enter the port of Rouen and during the stay in this port we would like to have the ship look presentable between others of the same kind.
Sailing a beautiful ship like ours makes someone a bit vain…..
