Lisbon to Rouen

Aeolus didn’t seem to be cooperative with us, the past months and is still not willing to help us. We departed Lisbon yesterday and struggle under engine and a single support sail so once in a while against the ‘Portuguese North’. This prevailing wind at the west side of Iberia is a steady one during the summer months.
We are bound for Le Havre and after a ‘touch and go’ at this port we will enter the river Seine towards Rouen. This city organizes a big event where many traditional sailing ships will meet. Especially our new crewmembers are looking forward to see that many ships at one location and to experience the attractions ashore. At the moment our Clipper is one big attraction as well. She bounces to all sides as a result of  the rough sea and does throw the lookout on the focs’le yards up and down.
