For our daytrip today we report to the Ostend Traffic control our intentions and our time of departure, a friendly voice tells us that outside the breakwaters the sea is already building up and between the lines I notice a touch of involvement nearing a mild form of  anxiety. The daytrip today will not take long I assure my speech partner. Once we have left the breakwaters the westerly swell is not too bad, our passengers of Randstad Belgium are enjoying themselves on the forecastle and experience a real adventure while we are riding the waves. When after an hour the first people start feeling not too well we decide to turn around. and nobody objects. After a short journey out on the sea everybody will have a story to tell at home; if the experience is short or a long one: pointing the bow out to the sea is always an adventure and always worth while . When we are moored to our berth the buffet is ready and the appetite appeased, after a presentation given in a comfortably filled longroom everybody goes homeward. The day and especially our little trip will be a lasting memory.
