Leixoes
After two days of motoring our way against the Portuguese North it was about
ime for some sailing action. On the latitude of Leixoes we changed course to
the east to profit from the northerly wind. At the exact moment we started
hoisting our topsails the wind decide to die own almost completely and,
instead of a nice sail maneuver, we had to find our way to our destination
in an intense fog that limited our visibility to less than 150 meters. Not
our idea of ending this journey but one has to accept adapt to circumstances
that are beyond our control. Away with sadness because after a safe entering
into the port of Leixoes we enjoyed a lovely dinner on deck for all the crew
and guests, the festive outcome of the ‘murder’ game which we played for the
last few days and that had cost a lot of victims and of course the goodbye
to our wonderful guests that had found the time to accompany us on this
journey.
