With regard to storage purposes, it is practical to use travelling bags for your luggage instead of suitcases. Bed linen and towels will be provided by the shipping company. As the atmosphere on board is informal, suits or evening wear are not required. You are expected to provide your own waterproof sailing suit, shoes/rubber boots and, depending on the weather, warm clothing (sweater, cap / hat, gloves, scarf) or summer clothes. Furthermore, please do not forget to bring valid travel documents and sufficient cash.
It is not permitted to bring alcohol on board as this can cause problems when clearing through customs in a foreign harbour. Beer and wine are available from the bar on board. For safety reasons, you are expected to refrain from alcohol consumption from four hours before your watch begins.
When you go aboard your berth will be made up. During the voyage you will have to make up your own berth. Your cabin will be cleaned on a weekly basis and clean linens will be provided at that time. You will share your cabin with one or more passengers (depending on your reservation). On sailing trips of a week or more, we provide limited laundry services.
