FAQ
- Do passengers work with the crew?

During the voyage you will participate in a 3-watch system (4 hours on duty, 8 hours off duty). You will be assigned to the red, white or blue watch. Under the supervision of an officer, you will work together with a quartermaster and two (or more) sailors. The quartermasters are responsible for assigning the tasks during the watches. You will receive extensive instructions in sail handling (hoisting, bracing and stowing). You will take turns at the helm, on the look out as well as below decks (in the galley for instance).
The meals are served buffet-style and the crew will join you during meals in the longroom. The meal times are coordinated with the watch system and will be announced on board. Of course, when you're off duty you are free to make use of the ship's bar with your fellow crewmembers, for instance at the end of your watch.
