Every year, the Clipper Stad Amsterdam makes several adventurous crossings. Passionate yachtsmen dream of a trip like this. A transatlantic crossing for instance, aboard a comfortable and safe ship with a professional and enthusiastic crew. You can sign up as an assisting passenger and join in with the crew. You will be assigned to duty and the crew will teach you the rudiments of sailing on a square-sailed three-mast fully-rigged ship so you can carry out sailing manoeuvres on deck together with them. The crew will also regularly hold lectures and workshops in the dining room.
